Allan S. brought in the following picture of a baby great horned owl. Two baby owls were hatched in a tree at his home. One morning he spotted this little owl laying on the ground. He snapped a couple of quick pictures and then returned the baby to the nest inside a hollow tree.

After I dropped Jim off this evening, I went up to the Mississippi River Co Park north of Sartell to see what kind of sunset photos I could get. Here is the one that I think is the best of what I took.

I took Jim along this evening for a drive. He read the map. (He is getting very good at this. We didn't get lost once.) It was stormy and we were trying to find cool storm shots. Here is one we took southwest of Clear Lake.

And Jim spotted a rainbow so I had to try to take some shots.

And one more rainbow picture:

Mom and I went over to Munsinger Gardens in St Cloud for a while on Saturday morning. It is very interesting to see the beautiful flowers and landscaping they have done in this formal type garden. The following shot is an overview of one of the many areas.

It's time to get back to this page. It's been a busy week at work. And it seems like the rest of the family has been busy at the huge garage sale at Jim's. Following are a few pictures of the event:

I tried my hand at a 'landscape' picture again. The spring clouds are so cool, reminds of the days growing up on the farm.

I went out to Ordway Prairie tonight after work. It is about 9 miles SW of Brooten, MN. It is very hilly, not really a prairie at all, but a part of the Alexandria moraine. This is the area where the glaciers of the ice age stopped and melted and left large piles of gravel to make numerous hills and valleys. The first picture I want to put up is one for Jim, I finally got a (little) buck:

Here is a good picture of Prairie Phlox that I saw today. I think this is the most purple one I have seen, and it has deep purple highlights near the center:

Here is a picture of a duck that I took using the 300mm lens with a doubler:

I've been doing some housekeeping stuff this evening. Didn't get out for photos, but I did some shopping done. I've been looking through my old photos and trying to categorize them. Here is a flower I can't identify, but I thought it looked pretty.

The following is not a 'hang it on the wall' photo, but it shows what the spring clouds look like. It will probably look better next January when it is 30 below outside.
