Markdown is Wonderful, But?
The basic concept of Markdown is to keep things simple and readable in the original text file. This Lifehacker post explains things nicely.
You can already get a very nice implementation of Markdown by using Folder Sentinel. It will generate standard Markdown output from any text file. You can optionally also have Michel Fortin?s PHP Markdown Extras applied.
However, I wanted to have a few more goodies available for my personal use of Markdown. Therefore RP Markdown was born.
RP Markdown is a post processor in Folder Sentinel that can be applied to standard Markdown generated output.
These are the things that RP Markdown includes:
- Improved Link Handling
- Improved Image Formatting and Handling
- Integration with Themes and Systems such as Bootstrap
- Integration with WordPress for use in blog posting
